Description

As an IT Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to our staff, students, and faculty. Your expertise in troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues will ensure the smooth functioning of our technology infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve computer hardware and software problems, including printers and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and updates.
  • Assist in managing user accounts, access permissions, and security settings.
  • Respond to IT support requests through a ticketing system and ensure prompt resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain network security measures.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff and students on utilizing technology effectively.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates of computers and network systems.
  • Monitor the school’s IT inventory and assist with procuring IT equipment.
  • Maintain data backups and ensure data security and confidentiality.
  • Assist in setting up audiovisual equipment for presentations and events.
Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or in a similar technical support role.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Mac OS environments.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and basic network troubleshooting.
